LOCKDOWNS
In many ways worse than the virus itself!
"While small benefits cannot be excluded, we do not find significant benefits on case growth of more restrictive non-pharmaceutical interventions (lockdowns)."
While it is assumed forcing people to stay at home can curb virus transmission, scientific studies have determined the results are negligible at best. For a more detailed report of the effects and effectiveness of lockdowns, click the button.
What should be thriving with LIFE is now a city in ruin.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
Cities globally have become ghost towns. In an effort to curb the spread of COVID, many cities have resorted to complete lockdowns with little to no consideration of the social and economic loss. While early on this made sense and the public was promised a “limited timeframe”, over a year later many countries continue with “lockdowns” as their only recourse for a virus that is actually manageable and not nearly as deadly as originally suspected.
Businesses shut down
Crime rate increased
People Evicted
Unimployment increased
More mental stress
Families divided
“You’ve stunted my education, withheld me from seeing my relatives, stopped me from playing with my friends, put a diaper around my mouth so you can’t see if I’m smiling, and instilled fear in me for a virus that I likely won’t get, and even if I do I have 100% survival rate… HOW IS THIS OKAY?”
Suicide is up!!!
It should be of no surprise suicide rates are up in all areas placed under lockdown. Social stimulation is such an integral part of society, and when removed or limited, has a direct effect on the mental health and well-being of all individuals. But in some places MORE PEOPLE have died of suicide than the virus itself. This article focuses on Australia which has had some of the harshest lock-downs globally.
Be Aware
You might be suffering from STOCKHOLM SYNDROME!
Stockholm syndrome is a psychological response. It occurs when hostages or abuse victims bond with their captors or abusers. This psychological connection develops over the course of the days, weeks, months, or even years of captivity or abuse.
This is an incredibly strange phenomenon, but in many of the cities with the harshest lockdowns people have learned to accept their situation, and in many cases, taken it upon themselves to “self-police” their friends and relatives. Governments have even ENCOURAGED the public to “turn in your neighbor”. What’s more, the public are lulled into a sense that this is the “right thing to do” completely disregarding the freedoms given to most Democratic societies. This was a tactic last used by Hitler in Nazi Germany. Leaders (captors) are praised after an extended period of time as most go along with this hoping one day to have their freedom back.
Dan Andrews | Australia
Victorian State Premier and in charge of what some are considering the harshest lockdown in the world. Melbourne Australia was voted “The Most Liveable City” in the world for years, now reports a 22% loss in GDP and 15% drop in jobs. This does not account for businesses that permanently closed.
Justin Trudeau | Canada
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has managed to lock down parts of the country in varying degrees. It’s been over a year anyone has been able to eat out at a restaurant. Businesses have closed, curfews implimented, pastors have been arrested, and yet the public seems to want this.
Andrew Cuomo | NY State
State of New York governor Andrew Cuomo has had his approval rating slip in recent months, but seems to still be holding on. He might not last however if the public finally figures out he willingly sent the elderly to die in COVID positive age care homes, and defunded the NYC police where violent crime has increased 95%.
What do all these leaders have in common?
They were all given unlimited “EMERGENCY POWERS” to make decisions bypassing the legislative branches of their government. Most democratic governments have a form of “checks and balances” in place so that no one-man or group can make decisions for the masses. If you remove the basic foundation of a democratic government, giving all the power to just one person…
